Keith Haring at the Folkwand Museum in Essen, with an important retrospective

The retrospective, which features 200 works by the great artist, opens today at the Folkwand Museum in Essen, Germany and will run until 29 November

His art was for everyone, in fact he started from the walls of Harlem and then moved on to countless forms of gadgets for sale in the Soho store.

Keith Haring is considered one of the iconic artists of the 20th century, a short and rich career for the American artist to whom the Folkwand Museum in Essen is dedicating an important retrospective.

The exhibition is about the man in the round, the artist and the activist who in the 80s was engaged in New York in the fight against racism, homophobia, pollution.

He also worked hard in the fight against AIDS, a disease for which he died at the age of 31.

His work, recognizable and created to reach the public, continues to transmit the values that were at the basis of it.
