The new collections by Clan Milano make its debut on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2018. Stemmed from the perceptivity of Marco Agostoni, CEO of the company, who identified in Alessandro La Spada the creative mind to which he entrusted the Art Direction of the brand, Clan Milano has always opted for an experimental approach built from the confluence of different stylistic contaminations and unique aesthetic suggestions that give life to a cosmopolitan living universe.
This year the scenography of the exhibiting space pays homage to the roots of the brand, recalling the elegant atmospheres of the fascinating Brianza palaces – typical of the ’50s and ’60s – dedicated to furniture display. While also celebrating the initial years of the fair. In stark contrast with the contemporary proposals that adorn the space, the Venetian inspired terrazzo floor conveys an allure of another era.
Clan Milano’s booth is packed with new furniture and lighting products, all of which are included in the new catalogue entitled Bellaria. An exclusive iconographic assemblage ideally located in the heart of the desert, a haven far away from nowadays chaos characterized by a refined stylistic sign, albeit relaxed, that envelops the senses.
A sophisticated essentiality enhances the elegant Walley chandelier. The brand’s new lighting proposal draws inspiration from the refined aesthetic canons of the ‘50s. Solid elliptical frames – endowed with a metallic finish – create a fluid configuration that surrounds white globes in encased glass, suspended stars emanating a soft luminiscence.
The Ring dining table stands out among the 2018 range of furniture thanks to an oval top in precious marble resting on a cylindrical base framed by a golden ring that conceals a wooden soul. Refined pink nuances mark the contemporary design of the piece, surrounded by gracious Baby chairs with tubular frame and enveloping seat.
Another novelty of the brand, the charming and embracing Bon Bon armchair features rounded and sinuous shape that continues in the matching ottoman and evoke a French candy, from which derives also the name of the Macaron coffee table, with marble top and metal structure in pink gold finish.
The Pipe collection, available in the chaise longue, armchair, sofa, vanity desk and coffee table versions, is the perfect furniture piece for the assorted Clan Milano living sets. The tubular structure – a main feature of the collection – inserts into the profiles, becoming a functional element. Very narrow angles and almost impossible curvatures hold up and delimit the essential profiles of each item of the collection.
The glamorous charm of velvet is enhanced by bold aubergine shades in the Mehari collection. Sinuous curvatures characterize the structure of the sofa, armchair and coffee tables that guarantee moments of relaxed convivial moments.
Delicate fringes are the leitmotif of the Hit collection, tailor-inspired ornaments that evoke a tasteful femininity and delimit bottom section of the headboard and the bed frame. Gracious bedside tables, decorated by countless fringes, with marble top, complete the solution.
The Lobby table with round top – in Mimetica finish – is the heart of the new Clan Milano proposal for the dining room. An eclectic piece that features in its legs an original effect that plays on different levels, taking up the peculiar format of the console of the same name.
An irreverent solution that recalls the charm of tradition in its baroque shapes and finishes, in stark contrast with the modern handles and minimal legs, Novegro symbolizes the artistic dimension of design made of contaminations and intriguing contradictions between past and present.
In the Officina storage furnishings, the Mimetica finish – with its particular graphic texture that resembles marble – is reinterpreted by bold chromatic contrasts. The camouflage effect (obtained from a particular veneering technique) enhances the linear profiles of the bar and low cabinet models. The distinctive elements that distinguish the different pieces arrive from the world of repair shops: handles, bolts and wheels are embellished by polished steel in rose gold and intense green.
Among the new proposals, a fascinating winter garden takes shape in the world of Clan Milano thanks to Petra, a collection with irregular profiles that recall organic and compact shapes combined with refined metallic accents.
The new collections are flanked by some of the brand’s most emblematic solutions: the evocative Don and Bubble chandeliers, the free-standing Add wardrobe, with a versatile tubular structure, the Flash tables, the Molecole mirrors and tables, and the Sombrero armchair with its domed backrest.
