Another exceptional edition of Arte Laguna Prize ended on April 25th, an Italian event that promotes and enhances contemporary art, rewarding artists and creatives from all over the world. An important initiative supported by Antrax IT in 2019, was the introduction of the design section, a novelty that expresses the constant growth of the prestigious award and that enhances the link that increasingly combines art and design.

Winner of the new design category, Elena Colombo (born in 1994) with Inclusive Tea House, a project that struck the jury for her ability to best interpret the role of the contemporary designer, committed to defining and promoting sustainable production and use models, and suggest an ‘extended’ culture of the profession.

Le Guardie del Doge captures the attention in this 13th edition of Arte Laguna Prize, the spectacular installation created by Antrax IT that has ‘warmed up’ one of the most evocative spaces of the Venice Arsenal.

Ten exceptional heat sculptures have interpreted, with great sensitivity and in a completely new and personal way, the special combination of art, color and design, recalling how art has always been a source of inspiration for furniture and how, at the same time, design can ‘influence’ art.

Antrax IT has thus reinterpreted with T Tower, the iconic free-standing radiator born from the collaboration with Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, the space between the ancient walls of the Arsenale. Ten towers of intense red color, ‘symbol’ of Venice Serenissima, have ideally represented the ‘guardians’ who guide us in the world of art and design, creating an evocative and fascinating path, seemingly infinite, capable of uniting matter and spirit for remember how art is the expression of a universal language capable of revealing feelings and emotions.
The T Tower radiators, made to be unique pieces – the satin-finished stainless steel base has, in fact, a progressive number from 1 to 10 to confirm its uniqueness – they have thus become an emotional installation that has allowed the public to interact with the decorative aspect of the radiators and capture the symbolic meaning of this ‘warm’ architecture.
With ‘Le Guardie del Doge’, Antrax IT has created new stimuli and references capable of involving not only professionals, but also the audience of enthusiasts, enhancing and involving the territory with art and design.
