A rich calendar, Fuorisalone set-ups in Milan’s hubs, and presentations of new collections at Salone del Mobile: the Milan Design Week is a not-to-miss event attracting thousands of professionals and interior design lovers from all over the world.
Turning Milan into a crossroads of inspirations and trends, the Design week is a chance for many fashion brands to showcase special projects, capsule collections or co-marketing initiatives with design giants ̶ the living proof that fashion and design walk hand in hand, and speak the same aesthetic language.
During the 58thedition of Salone del Mobile, Bottega Veneta has unveiled an exclusive preview of the official launch of its new bag “Arco”, featured in the Pre-Fall 2019 collection.
A contemporary reinterpretation of the iconic leather weave motif, Arco is a destructured, orthogonal creation framing the brand’s signature designs in softer lines.
Designed by creative director Daniel Lee, the new entry at Bottega Veneta is defined by architectural references: it is named after Milan’s Arch of Peace, the neoclassic monument being the background to the label’s Fall 2019 collection, while its upper part features curved handles on a rectangular panel shaping it as an arch.
Made in a new type of French calf consisting of leather and suede bands woven together, Arco comes in four sizes and a range of natural colors, and is refined by a bonded interior for an effortless, yet sophisticated line rich in handcrafted details.
The largest design is Arco 75, made in French calf and suede. The collection also includes non-woven versions in crocodile and opaque Palmellato leather with a grain texture.
