Celebrating the Christmas Mood!

It has now become absolutely normal to start feeling the Christmas spirit between late October and early November, when you can already stroll along streets teeming with traditional markets, charming shop windows, and squares adorned with Christmas lights

Every year, marketing and commercial logics leave us with the feeling that Christmas is landing in stores earlier than the previous year.

It has now become absolutely normal to start feeling the Christmas spirit between late October and early November, when you can already stroll along streets teeming with traditional markets, charming shop windows, and squares adorned with Christmas lights.

Needless to say, fashion and make-up brands are riding on the wave of the Christmas mood too, each in their own way: launches of themed or limited-edition capsule collections, purposely opened pop-up stores, charity events, and ad campaigns inspired by the sparkling holly jolly moments of the season.

After Shoes! Shoes! Shoes!, Roger Vivier’s first short film that introduced the FW 2019 collection through cinema, a great passion of Gherardo Felloni’s, the creative director of the label is now back with another short: I Woof You. Joining the Christmas spirit, the film shows the love story between dogs Tuna and Mandy, bringing their owners closer – and their objects of desire, too: shoes and accessories by Roger Vivier. Featuring jewel pumps, silver pumps and the Très Vivier red flats, the Christmas-themed collection is the real star of the brand’s animated picture.

And the perfect ally for a chic, bon ton Christmas. Definitely different than the one pictured by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, where coziness reigns.

The designer has created Holiday Treat, a line dedicated to it girls’ must-have: the Christmas jumper, coming in two styles and three colors. Also including a wool beanie, collar and socks, the collection is worn by top model Barbara Palvin in the ad shots and video released by the brand, and will be available for purchase online and in selected stores.

Reindeers, snowflakes and other traditional symbols do not even show up in Valentino’s Christmas Collection, surprisingly dedicated to the Divine Comedy, particularly to the line “the Love that moves the sun and the other stars”(Dante, Paradise, Canto XXXIII, line 145).

The line features men’s and women’s minimalist sweatshirts, T-shirts, sneakers, neck-wallets and baseball caps, and is available in Milan and Rome’s boutiques, plus other twenty stores worldwide and online.

Christmas Market is a special project by Dolce & Gabbana, with enchanting set-ups in the brand’s London and Milan boutiques. A triumph of colors, iconic prints covering walls, floors and furnishings, and festive lights that celebrate the traditional Sicilian cart and the Italian Christmas. For the occasion, the fashion house has come up with some exclusive items, like the Ready-to-Wear Special Collection for men, women and kids, featuring sweatshirts, joggers, T-shirts and accessories.

This peppy line is completed by four special dolls for the youngest fashion victims, two styles of sunglasses, and Sicily Is My Love, a arrange of domestic appliances, besides the renewed collaborations with Pasticceria Fiasconaro and Pastificio di Martino.

Ready, set… Let the 2019 Holiday Season begin!
