Dolce&Gabbana say goodbye to furs

The Dolce&Gabbana creations have always fascinated the world.

For some time, however, even a brand that has made fur its trademark like Dolce&Gabbana, has chosen the turning point of sustainable luxury.

In fact, more and more haute couture brands are following a cruelty free approach, creating beautiful garments by renouncing the use of fur.

The announcement is one of the historic ones: starting this year Dolce&Gabbana will forever renounce the use of furs in all collections.

Another luxury brand will follow this wave of animal rights: Moncler has in fact announced exactly the same thing.

This prestigious fashion house will also do without furs starting from 2023.

However, giving up fur, for Dolce&Gabbana, will not mean giving up the craftsmanship and talent of the master furriers, who will continue to collaborate with the maison.

The words of the fashion duo to explain the choice were clear.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have in fact said that they have been working for some time to reduce the environmental impact of the brand in various ways.

This green perspective, of course, certainly cannot include the use of animal furs.

The craftsmanship and talent of the master furriers will not be wasted: they will simply be made available to process eco-friendly materials.

Alternative materials therefore, vegan and cruelty free proposals that will replace animal fur.

The production of the new fur free collections is among the most anticipated on the upcoming catwalks: fashion victims from all over the world are waiting for nothing more than to wear the new, more sustainable creations of the Dolce&Gabbana duo.

The project is part of a broader sustainability perspective pursued by the fashion duo: in fact, animal fur not only does not reflect sustainability standards as regards its origin but also its production process is among the most polluting of all.
