With his “almost eight thousand design projects”, the Japanese designer “has never stopped celebrating fashion and the art of living”, said his spokesperson.

For half a century, Mr. Takada has been an emblematic personality in the fashion industry, always infusing creativity and color into the world

declared in the same press release Sylvie Colin, CEO of the Kenzo fashion house.

Today, his optimism, joie de vivre and generosity continue to be the pillars of our Maison. We will miss him very much, but he will be remembered forever

It is with great sadness that I learned of the disappearance of Mr. Kenzo Takada. His incredible energy, kindness and talent were infectious. His kindred spirit will live on forever. Rest in peace Master
