Seven new and innovative niche perfumes inspired by the seven hills of ancient Rome and taking their Latin names: Aventinus, Caelius, Capitolium, Esquilinus, Palatinus, Quirinalis and Viminalis. The “Septimontium” collection is named after the religious festival which celebrated the seven hills on which the city was founded. The collection, created and distributed by “Mauro Lorenzi Profumi”, is an innovation in the fashion and beauty world. It launches this Sunday 1 October 2017 with the opening of the store in Rome, in Monteverde (Piazza S. Giovanni di Dio), via Ferdinando Palasciano, 26a-28. The inaugural reception will commence at 5pm, finishing at 10pm. The notes in the seven perfumes range from bay leaf, rose and orange in Aventinus to pine, berries and soft fruit in Caelius; from amber, oud and patchouli in Capitolium to cinnamon, spice and incense in Esquilinus; from myrtle, wood and bay leaf in Palatinus to myrrh, spice and black pepper in Quirinalis, and iodine, cedarwood and myrtle in Viminalis. These seven fragrances, all completely different from one another, celebrate freedom and sanctuary, love and respect for nature, seduction and transgression, Eastern magic and charm, lush vegetation, assimilation between different cultures and the regenerating breath of the sea. “With this first collection, we wanted to pay homage,” said Mauro Lorenzi, the creator behind the collection and the brand, “to the origins of civilisation and to nature within the ancient parts of my city, which I love deeply. The great beauty. And with the hills, the magic number seven. It will be an honour to welcome our guests to the launch event and later the people of Rome and visitors to the city who will visit the store to sample these new perfumes and, if they wish, to wear them.”
