The Municipality of Milan and the National Chamber of Italian Fashion also confirmed their collaboration, detailed in a memorandum that they signed a few days ago to hold cultural initiatives and common actions aimed to support the whole fashion segment in 2020-2021.

While confirming the Great Hall of Caryatids at Palazzo Reale as the space to showcase collections by young, emerging designers and to hold institutional events, the memorandum also includes projects to take fashion to Milan’s artistic and cultural hubs. This will help to promote and enhance the city’s rich heritage with open appointments where fashion, art, culture and creativity will blend to make the Milan Fashion Weeks a unique event in the world, and thus affirm Milan’s status as “the place to be” for all players in the fashion system.

“China, we are with you”

The Fashion Week will open Tuesday, February 18 with the inauguration of the Fashion Hub, hosted at the La Permanente museum for the first time this year. During the night, the National Chamber of Italian Fashion will present its campaign “China, we are with you”, aimed to build a bridge between Italy and the Asian giant by taking the Milan Fashion Week to China with live streaming and special contents, to support the country and send positive messages at this very hard time.
