Milano Moda Uomo: King Giorgio Armani on the runway at Palazzo Orsini

After eighteen years, King Giorgio has decided to reopen the doors of Palazzo Orsini, located in Via Borgonuovo 11, a few steps from the fashion district. The Emporio Armanimen’s show remains scheduled for June 15 at 11a at the Armani/Teatro theatre

Usually boasting a calendar featuring the most prestigious names in fashion, Milano Moda Uomo seems to be struggling with this year’s edition, running from next June 14 to 17.

First of all, Prada will not be attending.

Bucking the trend, designer Giorgio Armani has decided to show his first collection on the last day of the event, Monday, June 17, at 5pm and not at 11am as usual.

Good news for the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana  – the association organizing the event – since this crucial postponement of a few hours keeps the press and buyers glued to the Milan men’s fashion week until Monday evening, and prevents them from an early take-off to Paris, where the same event is scheduled for the next day.

In the past editions, many operators used to leave Milan right after Fendi’s show, scheduled at 2pm. This time, though, they will unlikely want to miss the presentation of Giorgio Armani’s SS 2020 collection, which promises to be interesting in terms of location as well.
