Creative contamination can have unprecedented effects. When it is high-end footwear brand Sergio Rossi and elegant Milanese designer Marta Ferri that tandem to share their backgrounds, inspirations and stylistic approaches, the result cannot be anything but unexpected.

A synergy where the brand’s premium craftsmanship meets the designer’s vision, renowned for contemporary high fashion dresses made of printed upholstery fabrics. This was the beginning of SR1 Amalia, a sophisticated capsule collection of vibrant mules, slippers and sabots, finished with shining details and coming in a mix of various materials, and natural or bold tones.

Low-heel SR1 mule is a chic, light model with a branded tag, available in several colors and materials: black suede for evergreen elegance, bright pink for adding a peppy twist to any outfit, black or white Nappa leather with crystal appliqués for a rock ‘n’roll style, or pastel pink devoré velvet with a fringed jute pull.

A true symbol of summer, rope-sole espadrilles find their finest expression in the SR1 slippers, which stand out for an iconic metal tag that adds a luxury touch to the shoes, and combine different materials such as blue-green or begonia suede and velvet, silver Nappa leather and multicolor stripes.

In order to create something truly representative of myself, I let my passion for colors and materials inspire me: this is “Amalia”, the name of a strong, peculiar woman who was my guide and my example to follow to create exclusive, eccentric pieces that aren’t afraid of being noticed

 says Marta Ferri.

The collection signed Marta Ferri X Sergio Rossi is the first of a new SR Addiction journey, a creative hub that will call a number of designers to interpret the shoemaker’s DNA according to their styles, and thus give it new lines and shapes.

SR1 Amalia is available online on the label’s website and in its flagship stores in Milan and Rome.
