Anya Hindmarch announces The Weave Project, an art installation for London Fashion Week to celebrate the launch of the Neeson collection

To celebrate London Fashion Week, and following the success of Chubby Cloud, Accessories Designer Anya Hindmarch will create The Weave Project an immersive art installation.  Taking place over four days from Saturday 16th– Tuesday 19thFebruary at Brewer Street Car Park,  the Weave Project will feature The Tube, an art piece created by artists collective Numen/For Use. The Tube is constructed from woven mesh that creates an oscillating structure that visitors can climb through to experience the structure from unexpected and surreal angles.

The Weave Project was inspired by the designer’s SS19 Neeson bag which will be launched globally to coincide with the installation.  This updated version of one of the designer’s most recognisable styles is a lightweight woven tote that takes several days to make.

The Weave Project will be a completely immersive and playful installation that you can experience from the inside out. Following on from the Chubby Cloud, we like to take our customers on the journey behind the inspiration for our collections, in this case The Neeson. This is a beautiful sculpture and a complex project to bring to life but one that I can’t wait to share

says Anya Hindmarch.

The experience will also include the Weave Project café and a concept store which will offer one-off Weave Project merchandise alongside the new SS19 Neeson collection.

During the installation, and at a series of pop-ups in Anya Hindmarch stores and with select global partners, customers will be able to personalise the Neeson with hand-woven symbols, words and initials.

The installation takes place at the Brewer Street Car Park from Saturday 16thto Tuesday 19th February
