Hôtel Métropole: A Unique and Glamorous City Resort in the Heart of the Principality

Glamour, elegance and intimacy: three words that perfectly describe the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo, Monaco’s 21st century luxury hotel. Opened in July 2004, the privately owned property was decorated by the renowned French interior decorator Jacques Garcia, who artfully created a Mediterranean palazzo of timeless beauty.

While the external areas and general ambience maintain their classical style intact, Garcia has conferred a touch of modernity, setting the Hotel Métrople apart from the other buildings in the Casino square.  Just a few steps away from the famous Monte-Carlo Casino, the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo has become the most glamorous hotel in town.

Each of the 141 lavishly decorated rooms has been meticulously studied in every detail.  The “Suite Carré d’Or”, on the top floor, offers a 110 sq m terrace looking out onto the Mediterranean, the Casino Square and the outdoor heated seawater swimming pool, making it the ideal setting for a cocktail or an intimate dinner. The Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo restaurant, with its two Michelin stars, offers a superb cuisine in which contemporary flavours blend harmoniously with a Mediterranean style, contributing to make the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo one of the favourite venues of an international clientele.

In December 2008, Joël Robuchon opened Yoshi, his first Japanese restaurant, on the hotel premises. The 35-seat restaurant was designed by Didier Gomez, who also chose its refined and comfortable furnishings. The third and newest restaurant, however, bears the signature of the ever amazing and eclectic Karl Lagerfeld. In November 2010, three years after being awarded with the title of “Best Hotel in Europe”, the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo was elected “Best Hotel in the World 2010” at the annual convention of “Leading Hotels of the World”: a prestigious endorsement of the constant progress made by the hotel and its intention to maintain and reinforce its leadership in the international luxury hotel segment.

The Métropole ESPA Monte-Carlo, which joined the élite group of  “Leading Spas of the World” just a few months after its opening in 2006, is an exclusive city spa entirely dedicated to personal wellness.

Having been entrusted to the creative flair of Karl Lagerfeld, the marvellous newly furbished spa with its pool, terrace and gardens can offer fabulous rejuvenating and revitalizing treatments for body and mind, in utter privacy and tranquillity, to guests and non-residents alike. Inspired by Greek mythology, treatment packages are presented under the evocative names of divinities such as Eros, Hercules, Neptune or Hera and are specifically created for the wellbeing of each guest, as a precious gift to make them feel closer to Olympus!

The Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo confirms its reputation as an enchanting venue where each and every guest may enjoy and appreciate hospitality excellence, in every possible form.
