If you live in the UK, you’ve probably overlooked London. But, aside from not having to jet across waters and queue at airports, London is filled with so much to see and do, and let’s not forget, a lot of luxury. Chances are you’ve never explored it properly, which means there’s loads to discover. From the history flooded Greenwich, home to the Cutty Sark, to cool Camden filled with hip music venues and intriguing markets, to London’s West End and the boutique bars of Soho, there’s so much to see and do. It can be cheap too, with city based apartments in London just waiting to accommodate you.

If you don’t want heat, then Iceland offers one of the best city breaks around.
