The Rotin collection furnishes the spectacular Sky Bar.
In a location known for its timelessly appealingly sophistication and characteristic Med charm, the heart of dazzling Saint-Tropez is home to Hotel Byblos: an international icon of quintessential excellence in global hospitality and elite tourism on the French Riviera since 1967.
The Byblos has chosen the design sensibility of Ethimo to enhance one of its most amazing attractions, the spectacular Sky Bar, overlooking the bay of Saint-Tropez, an exclusive privileged position for enjoying the dolce vita on the Côte d’Azur. Curated by UGO Architecture, this restyling features the Rotin collection, the fruit of collaboration with Studio Zanellato/Bortotto, here reworked by Ethimo to create a tailor-made lounge set that fits in beautifully with the visual and architectural identity of the hotel and its surrounding scenery.
Rotin, in fact, here features in a completely customised special ‘edition’, with bespoke fabrics, patterns and finishes: a bright, warm colour palette dominated by a soft orange on a white base elegantly recalls the sultry sunny shades of the terrace, creating a harmonious, welcoming atmosphere.
In Brass-coloured stainless steel, the structure of the furniture is enriched by nautical rope details in an intense blue that develops a harmonious dialogue in both colour and texture with the mosaic of the Sky Bar floor. The striped wall coverings and diamond-patterned cushions pick up and amplify the geometrics on the floor, further adding to a coherent sophisticated overall effect. The coffee tables completing the lounge sets have the same finish as the seating structures, teamed with tops in travertine.
The Rotin collection is the first line of furnishings by Ethimo produced entirely with a technical structural padding: the soft volumes, achieved thanks to high-performance materials and fabrics conceived for outdoor use, feature a feel-good texture and a draining system that ensures both comfort and practicality. This special feature is also used for this brand new version of Rotin created for Hotel Byblos, confirming its centrality to the project.
This collaboration for restyling of the Sky Bar highlights Ethimo expertise in the creation of tailormade outdoor solutions that manage to reflect the spirit of their location and identity of their surroundings. Here, the overall result is a sophisticated, welcoming atmosphere, where design blends seamlessly with the Mediterranean landscape, enhancing the unique mood of Hotel Byblos.
