Among the nineteenth-century boxes of the Palais Garnier in Paris, the opera house of the Ville Lumière, Véronique Leroux (heir and great-granddaughter of the French novelist Gaston Leroux) invites the passionate public to spend a night in a unique chambre – in the truest sense of the term – that is, ready to exist once and only once.

For the return of the famous musical The Phantom of the Opera, this year scheduled in fifteen countries around the world, it will be possible to book a night on the stage of honor of the theater – for the occasion, transformed into a private room. Not only rest: those present will be able to explore the entire architecture and also visit the underground lake described in the novel and inhabited by the Phantom. With the help of an astonishing scenography, we want to give free rein to the imagination and experience a truly unique occasion firsthand.

“My great-grandfather’s story has inspired so many people over the years. This is the perfect moment to honor him and welcome fans(tasmi) for a unique stay in the iconic location of his novel”,

said Véronique Leroux.

The project, in collaboration with Airbnb, is part of a larger initiative that sees the short-term rental portal as the main actor, committed to revitalizing the European tourism heritage.

As stated in a press release: “Airbnb offers its support for the restoration and enhancement of the Opéra, in particular the ongoing restoration project of its boxes. Thanks to Airbnb’s contribution it will also be possible to finance the development of the streaming of the Opéra, which will make the audiovisual content of the theater available to audiences around the world”.
