Etro presented the announced live show which took place in respect of social distancing in the beautiful garden of the Four Season hotel in Milan.

Etro presented its co-ed collection for spring / summer 2021, the models paraded on cobblestone paths inside the cloisters of this former 15th century convent.

Like every event of the first Milan Digital Fashion Week, which lasts four days, the Etro fashion show can also be viewed on the web platform of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion.

The opening image showed Kean and Veronica Etro engaged around the spiral-lined models in a circular courtyard near the hotel garden, all filmed by a drone.

As a first look, Etro – the largest producer of classic prints in fashion – presented a jacket decorated with architectural details and faded flowers, worn with a shirt that represented a tiger in a tropical oasis, on top of faded jeans with turn-ups. A chic and self-confident men’s clothing, inspired by the Wild West. The first female model wore a long floral dress, under a fringed suede Comanchero jacket.

The audience, spaced a meter and wearing masks, included the Gotha of the Milanese fashion journalists: Emanuele Farneti, Director of Vogue Italia, Andrea Tenerani, the most requested male stylist in the city, and the man of the United Kingdom in the Italian capital , Luke Leitch. All sitting under large white umbrellas in the hotel garden.

For men, Etro offers an urban jungle, the Prince of Wales, single-breasted jackets, unusual unstructured paisley-printed dresses and a jungle-printed rockstar suit. All accompanied by live classical music of the Ensemble Testori Orchestra, conducted by Giulia Sandoli, including cello, double bass, piano and a quartet of violins, which played a perfect selection of music by the great Ennio Morricone, recently deceased, which culminated with an exciting interpretation of his wonderful soundtrack for “Once upon a time in the West”.

We are finally back together, in the garden of this iconic hotel, in the heart of Milan’s Montenapoleone district. We want to emphasize that we are a family, that Etro is a family that lives in a world of ‘joie de vivre’, color and positivity. For this season, we want to bring real clothes on the catwalk for real people, discovering a new authenticity. Just what we like, what we think is absolutely relevant, what makes us feel good. Nothing but this

explained the brothers Kean and Veronica Etro, designer of the house.

For social occasions: cashmere knit cardigan with Navajo motif, excellent safari jackets in an eccentric beige Ikat and a remarkable leather jerkin made with a beautiful image of the Nevada desert. Many elegant and striped shirts finished with photos of large cats, with an ecological side: shirts made with eucalyptus yarns and polo shirts made with fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles.

Women in ball gown dresses in the barn; denim micro shorts and jackets with marbled inlays and a superb dress with the same tiger print seen on the man. Even if Etro’s cowgirls do not disdain a stop in Nepal, to take embroidered belts and charming bandit silk shirts; marching like their boyfriends with bags and weekend bags as if they were arriving at the hotel. Everyone wears the new Etro x Carrera sunglasses, which reinterpret the iconic Champion aviators of the eyewear brand in the shades of Etro: bitter lemon, intense red and girly pink.
