Excellence Magazine has followed with interest Milan Fashion Week 2018. New proposals, always curated and spectacular shows. The magnificent weather has helped to create a party atmosphere and to show a glamour city. In this season our favorite shows were Fendi and Prada, followed by Etro, Missoni and Agnona.
Fendi has won us over for clothes and for its modern elegance. This aspect has been central to several collections seen in Milan, almost as if all the brands proposed a new focus on the aesthetic standards of elegant, classy women. All vintage prints were beautiful and will be much loved and appreciated. The return to the 90s, but with a new and fresh attitude, is what made us fall in love with the new collection of Prada, while Etro is to remember for his desire to escape from everyday life. The fashion show for the 65 years of Missoni convinced us the neutral and soft colors and the clothes made of multitudes of threads and braided yarns, while the Agnona show thrilled us for its elegance without forcing and for the Summer Spice palette.
In this week there was also space for scouting, with the nice test of Carolina Castiglioni for Plan C, the shows of Act No. 1 and Calcaterra and, last but not least, the bags Officina del Poggio.
Over romantic is the strong trend of next season, with an abundance of flounces, embroidery, lace and big bows. At the Fashion Week he also blew a nomadic and somewhat rebellious spirit, which brought on the catwalk many fringes, exotic prints, suede boots and sandals.
Needless to say, the absence of Gucci was a loss for Milan. We await the Parisian debut of the brand, with the most anticipated fashion show of the Paris Fashion Week, to applaud the work of Alessandro Michele.
