The spotlight is turned on on Milano Moda Uomo FW 2022/2023, the event is largely back in attendance (with strict security protocols), but maintains the now well-established “phygital” format with various virtual events.

From 14 to 18 January the fashion world tries to restart. The Omicron variant has got in the way and (also) Milano Moda Uomo has to deal with the pandemic. But like Pitti Immagine, also the fashion week dedicated to men’s style and trends chooses to return largely to the presence.

Milano Moda Uomo FW 2022/2023: all the information

The appointment with the MFW 2022/2023 is from 14 to 18 January 2022. After London’s decision to cancel the traditional appointment at the beginning of the year and to launch three “mixed events” in February, June and September, Milan inaugurates the season of the catwalks dedicated to men’s fashion.

The initial calendar included 23 fashion shows, 24 presentations, 9 digital content and 12 events, for a total of 47 brands and 68 appointments. But some designers have decided to cancel or revise the formula of their participation due to the exponential growth of infections.

Certainly (at least, for now), it is Zegna who opens the dance and there are 5 debuts on the catwalk. The brands showing for the first time in Milan are 1017 ALYX 9SM, co-founded by the American designer Matthew M. Williams (also creative director of Givenchy), 4 Label Group, Federico Cina (among the finalists of the LVMH Award), Justin Gall (launched by Gucci Vault) and Jordanluca (present at the 2020 digital edition). There are also 5 brands that make their debut in the calendar of physical presentations: Ardusse, Çanaku, Family First, Dhruv Kapoor and Jet Set.

As for the highly anticipated events in attendance, those of Woolrich and Vestiaire Collective X Fondazione Sozzani are worth mentioning, as well as the 50th anniversary of CP Company and the special installation with live performance by ANTI-DO-TO. This category also includes the concert by the Australian band Parcels, organized by Gucci at the Gucci Hub.

To keep up to date, the reference point is the milanofashionweek.cameramoda.it platform, which acts as a sounding board not only for virtual appointments, but for the whole event.
