Smeralda Holding has in fact announced the adoption of the Seabin.
These are real floating baskets designed to reduce the amount of waste in the sea.
Inserted in the port area, the containers are immersed in water and equipped with a pump that creates a current capable of capturing the waste.
A specialized operator will be in charge of emptying the seabins several times a day.
Smaralda Holding assumes a waste collection of over 500Kg in one year: the splendid sea of Porto Cervo will be without plastic, diesel and petrol.
