The artist is an old, or rather, a recent acquaintance of the label’s: after signing one of the ArtyCapucines bags, he is back to collaborating with Louis Vuitton on a collection of textiles featuring 8 pieces.

His inspiration? The famous series of Wave paintings, and their blend of vibrant colors and pop touches that triumph on the scarf, shawl, silk bandeau and maxi blanket making up the range.

The line is a playful tribute to the artist’s home city, Los Angeles, and is created with an innovative quilting technique that enhances the combination of the faded hues of the wave. The reverse side is lined in cashmere, and embellished with a tone-on-tone monogram pattern.

The cashmere Sky shawl is inspired by an image from the Sky Backdrop series, reproduced on the accessory that is also enriched by a fringed hem.

The Cactus Garden bandeau presents cactuses and cars on one side – an evident reference to the Desperado culture and the Backdrop series – and the iconic tone-on-tone monogram on the other.

A peppy, original line that was unveiled last June 27 in Los Angeles, and is now available online.
