Marni’s fashion show at the Milano Women FW 20-21 is inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the protagonist of the fairy tale by Lewis Carroll and Francesco Risso leads us to discover a world made of patchwork and collage.

The stylist uses fragments, pieces and cutouts to build unique models, tailor-made for an evanescent Alice, with a face made up with metallic shades that “drip” on the hair: oversized cardigans, dresses, skirts and pants in infinite variations.

The choice of materials responds to a sort of accumulation frenzy: corduroys or flattened, etched and discolored, metallic leathers but also sumptuous brocades, made on antique looms.

We find the same aptitude for exploration in accessories: from flat and archaic sneakers to giant or super small bags made of cutouts.
