Milan Fashion Week still in digital edition due to the restrictions linked to the pandemic.
The date to be marked on the calendar is 23 February, when the first digital presentations of the collections for Autumn / Winter 2021-22 will begin.
According to the provisional calendar released by Camera Moda, 124 appointments are scheduled between fashion shows (behind closed doors), presentations of the collections and events. The proceedings will close on Monday 1st March with the Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana fashion shows: it will be possible to follow in streaming all the appointments on the dedicated digital platform on the Camera Moda website.
How Milan Fashion Week 2020-21 will take place
Considering the particularly complicated period, the calendar released by Camera Moda is constantly updated.
At the moment the program includes 124 appointments: 61 fashion shows (of which only some will have a small number of workers present on site), 57 presentations and six events. Among these it is important to note the tribute to Beppe Modenese, Wednesday 24 February at 10 am, followed by “We are Made in Italy”, a special project curated by Stella Jean and focused on multiculturalism.
The fashion shows will open at 11 with Missoni (but from the day before there will be digital presentations of various brands) followed by Alberta Ferretti, Fendi and Brunello Cucinelli, who will present her collection for winter 2021 at Solomeo, exactly as she did at January for Pitti Uomo.
The next day (Thursday 25 February) it will be the turn of MaxMara, Prada, Moschino and Emporio Armani. On Friday 26 February, among the appointments to be marked there are Etro and Tod’s, while Saturday 27 will see the debut on the catwalk (digital) by Alessandro Dell’Acqua X Elena Mirò. Giorgio Armani, Ermanno Scervino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini will also parade on the same day.
Sunday 28 February is the turn of Emilio Pucci and finally on Monday the Milan Fashion Week ends with the Valentino fashion shows (who prefers Milan to Paris as he did last September) and Dolce & Gabbana. These are two great returns that took place last summer: until last September Valentino had always preferred the Parisian catwalks to the Milanese ones, while Dolce & Gabbana had been absent from the calendar since 1998. This time the great absentee will be Versace.
