Perfumes summer 2022: sustainable luxury is the new fragrance trend

Iconic fragrances, but also new and fresh proposals on the market have a common denominator: they are all certified organic

Sustainable fragrances.

This is the real watchword that dictates the law on summer 2022.

Iconic fragrances, but also new and fresh proposals on the market have a common denominator: they are all certified organic.

We see below some of the most iconic products of this season.

Mandarina Duck woman and the LCA method

Everything starts from the ERGO spin off of the University of Pisa.

It is to this project that Mandarina Duck has entrusted the LCA study for its feminine fragrance.

LCA is an acronym that stands for Life Cycle Assessment and is an analytical methodology that evaluates the environmental footprint of a product.

the method showed positive data after studying the restyling of the perfume packaging: the weight was reduced as well as the paper needed to make the outer packaging (-10%).

The total absence of plastic for the coating is also excellent.

The analysis of consumption highlighted the reduction of eighty-three per center of carbon dioxide emissions and of eighty-nine percent of mineral resources.

Water by Giò Giorgio Armani

The records of this fragrance are many.

Not only is it one of the most loved perfumes by men all over the world, not only has it reached twenty-six years of success, but it has also achieved carbon neutrality.

The iconic fragrance has fully offset the emissions produced by joining a reforestation program.

Acqua di Giò also stands out as one of the most sustainable luxury fragrances ever thanks to the launch of the new packaging, completely recyclable, indefinitely.

To reduce waste, recharging is also available.

Of course, respect for the environment is also certified by the total traceability of each ingredient: from the green mandarin, harvested by hand in southern Italy to the pathcouli of Guatemala, harvested with a solidarity program.

Merchant of Venice perfume accords

Minimal ingredients, the most iconic perfumery reinterpreted in a sustainable key by Merchant of Venice.

The brand launched the Accordi di Profumo collection, eight Nature-Conscious Eau de Parfum, in collaboration with the Givaudan essence house.

Each fragrance is composed of certified and traceable ingredients, the packaging is made entirely of biodegradable paper, derived from algae.
