Red Carpet Green Dress: the Sustainable Luxury Fashion Competition

To admire the sustainable evening dresses, winners of the Red Carpet Green Dress, on the catwalk, it will be necessary to wait until 2022.

The competition rewards the most exclusive green fashion creations and is organized in collaboration with TENCEL and CLO.

The international jury is composed of:

– Suzy Amis Cameron (founder of RCGD),

– Harold Weghorst (Vice President of Global Marketing & Branding, Lenzing AG),

– Micaela Erlanger (Celebrity Fashion Stylist) and Abrima Erwiah (co-founder of Studio 189)

The winners of the 2021 edition, selected by the international jury, are Yuriko Fukuda and Zhi Hong Benjamin Koh.

The most glamorous sustainable competition in the world:

Born in 2009, the competition is the key event of the Red Carpet Green Dress foundation.

RCDG, founded by environmentalist Suzy Amis Cameron, aims to support green fashion.

Red Carpet Green Dress is open to designers and stylists and is responsible for promoting ecological and ethical choices both in terms of materials and methods of production.

In fact, participants are invited to present projects that bring profound and shared values ​​to the catwalk, in addition to the beauty of luxury and high fashion creations.

From the transparency of the supply chain to the fair wage guaranteed to workers, from ecological materials to the use of recycled and biodegradable ones, these are the decisive criteria for choosing the winners.

The winners of the 2021 Red Carpet Green Fashion edition:

The winners of the 2021 edition, selected by the international jury, are Yuriko Fukuda and Zhi Hong Benjamin Koh.

Yuriko Fukuda, a Japanese living in the UK and a student at Regent University in Lindra, won the award in the women’s clothing category.

Zhi Hong Benjamin Koh, a fashion and textile designer who lives in Singapore, where he studied at the Polytechnic, is the winner of this year’s menswear category.

The two winners will receive a cash prize, a company tutoring course and the support of the project partners.

Their evening dresses will be officially unveiled in 2022.
