In 1946, Giuseppe and Ernesta Pasta brought Tarcisio, their third-born child (out of six), into the world. From his youth spent in Vacallo, Switzerland, little Tarcisio demonstrated a pronounced predisposition for motors of all types, often assembling DIY mopeds and go-karts with his siblings in their free time. Made entirely of the parts he managed to scrap together, he would then test them out on local roads. After studying mechanics and earning the title of ‘Ticino’s trainee of the year’, Pasta began working as a mechanic. With impressive entrepreneurial spirit, Pasta opened his first company in 1968, taking over the small garage in Via San Gottardo, Balerna that is still the headquarters of Tarcisio Pasta SA today. Now, in January 2018, Tarcisio Pasta is celebrating 50 years in business. A self-made man, Pasta has always embodied professionalism in the world of automobiles. As the saying goes, behind every great man, there’s a great woman, and Pasta is no exception. In 1971, he married Mariuccia, a woman who has proven herself be a fundamental pillar of the company over the years. The enterprising couple’s humility, honesty and perseverance brought them to new heights as time progressed and they now lead a company with over 50 employees and multiple locations in Ticino (in Balerna and Cadenazzo), representing famous makes and models such as Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Jaguar, Land Rover, McLaren, etc. Tarcisio Pasta, a person of sound moral principles, respected by employees and customers alike. An old-school entrepreneur, from the days when a handshake meant more than a signature on a contract. The man that taught me everything, the man that has always been my point of reference, the man that taught me to work tenaciously and to fight to achieve what I believe in… The man that I’m honoured to call Dad.
