TEACLUB: Italy and China in the new home living concept by Alessandro Agrati

TEACLUB: Italia e Cina nel nuovo home living concept di Alessandro Agrati

A new design game.

Teaclub is born. An exclusive design concept aimed to new high-end models of living, real estate and hospitality, created by Alessandro Agrati Stile, a creative studio founded by Alessandro Agrati, founder of Culti Milano. This project was revealed for the first time during Milan Design Week 2023. This concept is built on the collaboration between Italian textile manufacturing art and the thousand-year-old Chinese cabinet-making tradition. The new beginning of contemporary home living concept.

TeaClub represents the consecration of the artistic path that for over 30 years AlessandroAgrati – pioneer of a revolutionary approach in the way of living spaces and objects – has been tracing towards the evolving concept of lifestyle. Inventing new ways of living privileged places, enhancing the bien vivre culture and the most authentic hospitality. A special occasion for anyone who wants to highlight special places in the world with an exclusive and distinctive style. The club is a place where the human being is the key element: spaces become personal and new tailor-made habits are established.

Between Italian textile craftsmanship and the millenary Chinese cabinet-making tradition

In creating TeaClub, Alessandro Agrati explores the spirit of the place, with respect and devotion. His curiosity brought him to merged Italian craftsmanship tradition with millenary Chinese culture, opening the doors of Alessandro Agrati Studio in the Nankang Design District, of which he is Artistic Director. One of the purposes of the Milan-Nankang connection is to implement the knowledge of the Nankang Design District system at an international level. One of the largest and most famous Chinese universities, Gannan Normal University, is strongly integrated in the District and all its activities. For this reason, over the past three years, Alessandro Agrati has created a professional and academic connection with Poli Design in Milan, to develop a synergy between the two universities.

Teaclub collection

Exclusively showcased within Dazio di Levante at Arco della Pace, TeaClub follows a path defined by precise moments. All the senses are inspired by the research on raw materials: the fabric textures, the brass elements and the ebony outlines are exalted by the fragrance carefully selected by Culti Milano. The result is an original design collection that combines Italian textile manufacturing excellence with the finest Chinese cabinet-making tradition.

The Teabook and Teabook Leaf bookcases, the Tea Private Closet and Secret Tea sideboards, the Tea Wood ebony chairs, and the Tea Bed are part of the collection. In the Ottoni di Luce collection, we have table and floor lamps in bronzed brass and the Bronzetti, small tables in bronzed brass. Finally, a significant focus on tailoring with the maxi Ottoman chairs, the Tea Chairs, the Framed Bed and the soft velvet jacquard boiserie. A dialogue between millennial cultures performed by an Italian artistic direction.
