The International SeaKeepers Society’s Launch of Second Episode in Mini-Series and DISCOVERY Vessel Portal

The International SeaKeepers Society will release, on 29 January, the second episode in a series of video presentations about our mission and the impact of our efforts.

In our role as partner and supporter of SeaKeepers we would like to inform you that the video egg will be accompanied by the launch of a new tool designed to unite various partners of the program and shipowners interested in the common goal of supporting oceanographic research

explains Luigi Lauro Editor in Chief of Excellence Magazine.

The second episode, Science at Sea, focuses on the different types of partners that collaborate to make programming happen at sea. From captains to crew, to families, to like-minded organizations and academic institutions, SeaKeepers unites the boating community with conservation and research opportunities.

Accompanying lesson plans are available to use within a classroom or other similar
educational setting. For those who wish to discuss the application of these lesson plans, and how a SeaKeepers staff member could present to your group, contact Maggie@SeaKeepers.org.

The new DISCOVERY Vessel Portal makes it easy for scientists to submit proposals and discover current vessels for research. Vessel owners are also able to learn more about programming and join the DISCOVERY Yacht Fleet. SeaKeepers is proud of its current member fleet that has supported programming around the globe. However, to match continued demand for oceanographic research and education at sea, we are always in need of more vessels.
