Michelangelo Serena

SERENA Luxury Mosaic is the new representative of luxury art and craftsmanship made in Italy in the world of gold and artistic glass. Michelangelo Serena, born in 1987, after his studies in architecture analyzed the potential of the traditions and innovations of his ancestors, who in the XVI century, in Murano, Venice, invented the prestigious glass Filigree technique. In 2015 Michelangelo founded SERENA Luxury Mosaic with the aim create a new dimension of Made in Italy, combining for the first time Murano blown glass, gold foil and artistic mosaic. He has already exhibited the collections of lamps and art pieces for home décor in the Glass Museum in Murano, in luxury hotels as the Excelsior Hotel Gallia in Milano, and the Ca’ Sagredo Hotel in Venice, exposing also at international fairs as Euroluce, I Saloni, in Milano and the Cannes Yachting Festival. Each product arises from the artistic sensitivity of the founder, who draws by hand the designs and follows realization of blown glass in one of Murano’s oldest and most prestigious glass factory. The objects are completed at the laboratory located in Spilimbergo, in which Michelangelo applies the mosaic tiles with the collaboration of talented mosaicists. The peculiarity of the manufacturing processes and the intrinsic nature of materials ensure that the shape and colour of the blown glass, together with the arrangement and colors of the mosaic, lead to the creation of unique artworks. The Light Collection comes from the desire to enhance even more the blown glass and the nuances of gold mosaic through the light, together with structures of 24-carat gold plated stainless steel. The result is always an art piece signed by SERENA Luxury Mosaic, the unique reality made in Italy in which all details are highlighted by the desire to magnify two of the most exclusive Italian arts.
