The Made in Italy label is built upon quality materials and manufacturing in addition to attention to detail and knowing craftsmanship. Fully embracing that philosophy, Duredil – which has produced unparalleled windows, door frames, panelling, facades, entryways and fittings made to measure and custom made for over twenty years – can be proud of the skill which it brings to the numerous important artistic restorations entrusted to it by clients such as Italy’s Cultural Heritage Authority. Recent projects include a historic building in Milan’s Piazza Castello, where beyond the windowframes, Duredil reproduced all the original window shutters using modern technology, resulting in wonderful artefacts that perfectly respect the style of the era. Such expression of valuable expertise is the hallmark of a business founded on in-depth knowledge about and understanding of its products. As a testament to this idea, Duredil has developed a catalogue collection with more than twenty durable window fixtures with high levels of thermal-acoustic insulation in a range of finishes that no other manufacturer comes close to offering. Each product is exclusive to the brand and entirely unique, such as the characteristic absence of glazing bead, which combines aesthetics and increased solidity and safety.
Duredil frames come in wood, wood-aluminium, and in a broad selection of high-quality metals such as bronze, steel and iron, with artistic finishes which include a natural brushed effect, gold, satin and craquelé. Woods range from oak to zebrawood, offering suitable solutions for different tastes and architectural needs while remaining in perfect harmony with the ambiance and surrounding interior design. Each space can be completely personalized, and this also allows one to select bi-tone frames or different-coloured frames in different rooms. Duredil’s tailor-made services also include wood accessories, doors and panels. Defined during the design phase and managed up to installation and post-sales assistance, these elements are essential to the world of luxury goods and its extremely demanding clientele. “Our products are sought-after around the globe”, confirmed Alessio Riva, Founder and Sole Administrator of the company, “because Duredil meets the needs of the most varied clients, all of which share an interest in top-of-the-line products, whether they’re in Europe, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Switzerland or Israel. This year, for the Salone del Mobile, our company was chosen by Assolombarda Milano Monza e Brianza (the most important regional trade association belonging to the General Confederation of Italian Industry) as the best example of Made in Italy excellence thanks to our ability to seamlessly combine design and technology”.
At the head offices in Inzago, just outside Milan, is situated the Palazzina Uffici, Offices Building, home to the Design and Realization department. This department studies every single project we work on, alongside the Management team and the 2000m2 Workshop, in which Duredil’s innovative industrial production methods are fused with the attention to detail artisans are known for. All design and production phases are handled in-house to ensure the end result is of absolute quality. The cultivation of craftsmanship has become the company’s culture, a philosophy which echoes through the initiatives which Duredil supports. One such example? The restoration work done on Leonardo da Vinci’s Canal Lock, which returned splendour to the imposing wood locks of the Naviglio Martesana canal, right outside the doors of the company headquarters.
