It is called “Imagining Sustainable Fashion Award”, and it was born of the collaboration between sustainable fashion agency Connecting Cultures, which launched the Out Of Fashion platform, and C.L.A.S.S., the eco-hub helping fashion and textile professionals to become more competitive and responsible.

The contest is open to all communication professionals: photographers, creatives and art directors are invited to submit their projects to the platform by January 12, 2021.

Projects of all kinds are accepted, from the most traditional like editorial projects, events and bespoke advertisements to digital projects and augmented reality immersive experiences.

The contest’s media partner is Renoon, the start-up of the year and the leading data hub in sustainable fashion, gathering over 190 brands that offer responsible collections to end consumers.

Such a complex project seeing the participation of great names from fashion communication conveys once again a strong message about what is becoming true luxury: not just the finest materials of the best quality, but also an ever-growing attention to being sustainable and communicating it at best to end customers, who are more and more mindful of issues related to sustainable luxury when making their purchasing decisions.

A new generation of values is woven into the clothes we wear every day thanks to emerging artists and designers who believe in a design culture that respects social and environmental responsibility and who know how to integrate sustainability, innovation, and style

said Anna Detheridge, the Founder and Chair of Connecting Cultures, upon launching the project.

Unfortunately, fashion does not always succeed in communicating these virtuous stories. And as consumers, as an active part of the process, we fail to reward those who really make sustainable fashion

added Giusy Bettoni, CEO and founder of C.L.A.S.S.

The winner will be announced in March 2021, and will receive a 3,000 euro prize.
