Harley-Davidson: the new e-bike Serial 1

According to the National Association of Cycle Motorcycle Accessories, over 1.7 million units of bicycles and e-bikes were sold in 2019, for a total value of 1.35 billion euros. Electric bicycles would be around 195,000 units and would have recorded an increase of 13% compared to the previous year.

Other data on a global scale, on the other hand, predict that the e-bike sector can grow steadily, from 2020 to 2025, by 6% every year.

Since this data does not go unnoticed in the sector, at the end of October Serial 1 Cycle Company – a new brand of Harley-Davidson, which last year also offered an electric motorcycle – unveiled the new Serial 1 e-bikes. It is available today to be pre-ordered, but only in the US and Germany.

Inspired by the entrepreneurial vision of Harley-Davidson’s founders, with Serial 1 we hope to once again change the way cyclists move in their world

says Aaron Frank, brand director of Serial 1 Cycle Company

The Serial 1 range allows Harley-Davidson to play a key role in this mobility revolution. At the same time, it allows Serial 1 to focus exclusively on the e-bike customer to offer an unparalleled driving experience, rooted in freedom and adventure

Featuring a frame and forks constructed from hydroformed aluminum welded to offer lightness and strength at the same time, the Enviolo Automatiq intelligent drive system, Gates Carbon Drive belt – which requires no maintenance – and hydraulic disc brakes, these bikes offer safe control and are designed to be comfortably driven on flat and rural roads.
