From September 28th to October 10th, the Lombard capital will once again be the protagonist with Milano Design City, a program, organized by Fuorisalone.it together with the Municipality of Milan, which will involve 90 locations and will see the return of the fuorisalone live.
This edition of the event will be dedicated to the culture of design and innovation, with particular attention to the redesign of urban spaces, sustainability and the circular economy. It will consist of local events, talks, workshops, round tables and exhibitions in showrooms, museums, art galleries and some specially set up spaces. Some showrooms can also be visited virtually, and some round tables will be available in live streaming.
The event, born in 2016, this year represents a return to normal after the lockdown and suspension of events and fairs, primarily the Salone del Mobile and the Design Week in April.
The Salone del Mobile and the Fuorisalone have always played an economically and socially important role for Milan which, over time, has become the world capital of design
comment from Fuorisalone.it
In 2020 the Exhibition was canceled due to the emergency due to the spread of the coronavirus. Many companies have taken the opportunity to rethink their communication on digital channels, and we at Fuorisalone.it from June 15 launched the new Fuorisalone Digital platform while aware that digital could not completely replace what happens in Milan during Design Week. This is why we are happy to announce that finally, with Design City, Milan is starting up again
