An evening for environmental and social sustainability projects.
The exclusive charity dance and gala dinner organized by the Francesca Rava Foundation – NPH Italia ETS under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in the presence of Giulio Alaimo, Ambassador of Italy to Monaco, was held on September 20th in the splendid setting of the Monaco Yacht Club.
The Foundation has presented over twenty years of work on behalf of children and adolescents in Italy, Haiti and around the world and presented the excellence of Italian cuisine and design during an evening dedicated to environmental and social sustainability, values underlying all of the Foundation’s projects aimed at achieving the sustainable development goals outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) Agenda 2030.
An exclusive event attended by more than 350 friends and components of the Monegasque, French, Italian and international communities and many young volunteers, many of which students from the international school of Monaco, who also enthusiastically participated in Francesca Rava Foundation volunteer camps in Italy and in NPH Houses in Latin America. At the event there was also Martina Colombari, a volunteer and ambassador for the Francesca Rava Foundation.
On this occasion, prestigious companies such as CMB Monaco, KPMG, the Foundation’s historical partner also for the auditing of financial statements, and BANOR SIM SPA, which has always been close to the Foundation in major events and empowerment projects dedicated to young people, have chosen to support the Foundation. Guests were welcomed at sunset with a welcome drink on the atmospheric Yacht Club deck, made even more magical by the layout by Armani Casa, with a tasting of Nero Lifestyle’s excellent Champagnes, including Cuvée Croisade and Rose De Damas, rare and precious limited edition French bubbles. The aperitif was accompanied by the music of Alessandro Martire, renowned pianist with breathtaking performances in natural and urban settings sought after around the world.

Marco Traverso & Histoires d’Ours made the atmosphere unique with its floral centerpieces, which the evening’s guests were able to purchase with a donation to benefit the children with disabilities housed in the Little Angels Home in Haiti.
The dinner was accompanied by a fine selection of wines from the Masciarelli Agricultural Estates, including Villa Gemma Abruzzo Bianco DOC, with fruity and mineral notes, aromatic herbs and tropical fruits; Gianni Masciarelli Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC, made from 100% Montepulciano grapes from vineyards in Loreto Aprutino, characterized by a bright cherry red color and intense aromas; and Marina Cvetic Trebbiano d’Abruzzo DOC Riserva, an intense, rich and consistent wine vinified and aged in barrels. Finally, Vendanges Tardives 2020 – Château Imperial Tokaj, from Gianni’s Selection line, was served with dessert.

Guests enjoyed the performance of live dance by Alessandro Ristori & the Portofinos, a nationally and internationally renowned band with its irresistible 50s and 60s rock, and dancers to liven up the evening, which was also attended by the Hellenic Community of Monaco, with the President Sophia Vaharis Tsouvelekakis, who offered special Greek cocktails made with ouzo and tsipouro at the open bar.

In the words of President Mariavittoria Rava: “The Francesca Rava Foundation has committed itself to the organization of this evening with determination and love not only to provide concrete help to many children in dire need in Haiti, Italy and around the world, but also to convey the values related to social and environmental sustainability, which inspire all our projects. I would like to thank the Italian Embassy in Monaco and the institutions present at the event, the companies that with their excellence are at our side to share this unforgettable Gala, our wonderful young volunteers, donors, friends and all those who support us. To bring lasting and concrete change in the lives of those who need it most, it is not enough to do good, but it must be done in the best way possible: this is the philosophy of the Francesca Rava Foundation; because even good requires excellence”.
Francesca Rava concluded also by thanking Excellence Magazine for the media partnership.
