Sanremo Festival represented again the gorgeous event that enchanted with a very high audience: the artists performed during the week personalizing their journey with unique paths to discover also through their dresses. My opinion about Sanremo outfits? Complete Freedom in each look! That means: every soul indicates a particular mood distinguished with a stunning different dress. The Genius of Damiano David, for instance, was exhalted by an elegant total white shirt: he embodied an everlasting Hero, a brave D’Artagnan of our new era, with his White shirt enriched by a stunning Bulgari parure with Diamonds and Rubies. Absolutely charming. An Everlasting Look. And what about the Singer Jovanotti in Golden smoking? that means timeless elegance. – Paolo Oldani, Fashion product manager – We are used to see him either in denim or in simple outfits and on the stage of Sanremo he embodied a golden statue.
Achille Lauro, for example, proposed a sophisticated look “fin de siecle”. I was surprised by the decision of some singers to wear an elegant smoking without shirt. Elodie, Noemi, and other young singers wore magnificent evening dresses with precious materials.

For this gorgeous musical event won by the singer Olly, the city of Sanremo proposed some interesting collateral events, enjoyed by the international press, such as the Montecarlo Times journalist Silvano Marco Corradi. Many events took place in extraordinary locations: Marina Castelnuovo, Liz Taylor’s body double, for example, attended the Press Golden Gala in the luxurious setting of the Royal Hotel and presented the song dedicated to her autobiography at the Hotel Des Anglais. The Press Golden Gala managed to perform its usual success, rewarding Carlo Conti, the Anchorman of the Italian Song Festival and of other gorgeous people from the world of music and of journalism. Congratulations for this splendid Gala go to Ilio Masprone, Director of the Montecarlo Times and to Roberto Alessi, Director of Novella 2000.
In the gardens of Villa Nobel, a magnificent bronze horse, an artowork created by Elena Rede, expressed all its plasticity thanks to Gian Piero Alpa, producer of the work, who is exhibiting its twin in Dubai, at the Sculpture Park, DIFC.
The City of Sanremo in the Casino rooms, on the occasion of its 120 years, presented a wonderful exhibition dedicated to Italian fashion on the Riviera since the ‘fin de siècle’: among the organizers, the Museum of Fashion and Perfume in Sanremo by Barbara and Monica Borsotto, Atelier DAPHNE’. This family, among the precious outfits, displayed one in memory of the singer Nilla Pizzi. In partnership with Daphnè events, the cultural association The Everlasting People, Le Sempiterne. Barbara Borsotto, with her sister Monica and her mother Anna Maria Daphne wrote the history of haute couture on the Riviera, also enhancing the essences of the territory both in perfumery and in fashion. The artist Marika Laganà visited her: her works can be admired together with those of other artists, including Italo Corrado, at the Miramare The Palace.
