Inaugurated November 6, Francesca Mo’s “Sberlüsc/Sparkling” exhibition at the Subert Gallery in Milan – with the first word being the Milanese dialect for “sparkling” – is a tribute to the designer and architect’s hometown, but also a direct hint at the sparkling stones set on the jewels.
The new Twinkle collection features rings, bracelets, pendants and earrings where light designs and essential shapes blend with metals and colorful, precious gemstones that shine, and make everything around shine too.
Less is more is the motto chosen by Francesca Mo for the collection of jewels she unveiled this F/W 2019 season.
Subtle gold, silver or bronze settings that hold valuable stones highlighting the great variety of colors and gems: the warm yellow of topazes and citrines, the deep violet of amethysts and the lilac of iolites, the reflections of zircons, the colorful tourmalines, the ruby red of garnets, and the purity of the precious diamonds.
Fine rings that wisely revisit old settings, and almost invisible earrings that, when worn, add a secret, yet substantial sparkle.
And the name perfectly embodies the spirit of the collection – because “less is more” – without ever forsaking its personality, by freely choosing and mixing materials and colors in line with its own style.
The exhibition gives a peek at the Twinkle ring collection:
minimal jewels designed to be coordinated, worn on two or three fingers at a time, in a combination of different metals, stones and colors, for a mix and match that amplifies this rainbow effect.
Francesca Mo receives at her studio by appointment, but her jewels can be found in Milan at the Subert Gallery (Via della Spiga 42), Jannelli & Volpi’s JV store (Via Melzo 7) and Wait and See (Via Santa Marta 14), at the Grand Hotel Le Sirenuse’s boutique in Positano (Naples) and the Salt fashion/design store in Venice, California.
