A legendary and moving story told in true Riva style, with passion and originality. “The Master Bridge (La Plancia)”, screened in its premiere during the fourteenth edition of Cortinametraggio, is a tribute by Ferretti Group to the genius of Carlo Riva, two years after his death.
In 15 intense minutes, the film celebrates the historic headquarters in Sarnico. The star of the film, in fact, is the Plancia, Carlo Riva’s famous futuristic office that overlooks Lake Iseo.
Extending out over the lake like a majestic yacht, the office was designed by Riva himself along with architect Giorgio Barilani, and is considered an authentic architectural masterpiece. Carlo Riva was so fond of the Plancia that after he sold the shipyard, he rented it and continued to use it as his office for almost ten years.
