The epitome of Tuscany as most know and love it, an oasis where to relax in pure, blissful peace.

Castel Monastero

Originally a 9th-century convent, later a retreat for noble families, it finally turned into this beautiful, polished resort after being thoughtfully restored to its original features.

Manager Graziella Arba tells us how the resort has been facing these hard times.

Castel Monastero has not stopped.

We are getting ready for the summer season, in order to meet the highest safety standards to safeguard the wellbeing of our guests and staff, as per the guidelines by the WHO. We are also taking hygiene and control measures for our guests to enjoy carefree, relaxing holidays in a safe environment, without any excessive restrictions dampening the spirit.

We will be the ideal destination in terms of safety and privacy, with an only way in, sheltered by the thousand-year old walls of this hamlet dating back to 1100, and surrounded by 6 hectares of vineyards unfolding as far as the eye can see, plus a private garden with three pools, for our guests exclusively.

Our restaurant will welcome guests both outside, at the tables on the square, and inside, in private, separated rooms, in line with the high privacy and safety standards that we will guarantee.

We have also been working at special relaxing and fitness treatments in order to reopen our beautiful 1,000 square-meter spa, and a private spa suite, for guests to finally be able to treat themselves to those long-awaited pampering sessions.

We are really looking forward to welcoming our beloved guests back.
