Art and innovation in the setting of Villa Ciani.
The 6th edition of YouNique – Boutique Fair of Arts 2025 took place in Lugano on March 28th, 29th and 30th, with many new features and confirmation of the appreciation of an increasingly knowledgeable and demanding public. Excellence Magazine was a media partner of the event. The 2025 edition, thanks to the artistic direction’s choice to dedicate the exhibition spaces exclusively to contemporary art, has allowed YouNique to consolidate its reputation as a successful and constantly growing “boutique fair”, now the only trade fair in the sector in the whole of Italian-speaking Switzerland.
The addition of two talks dedicated to Art as an investment and Artificial Intelligence in art, which were “sold out” and gave rise to very heated and interested debates, both among the speakers and with the public present, was very welcome. Organized by Hub Art, a consultancy agency dedicated to curating and artistic valorization, and moderated by its founder, Greta Zuccali, the two themes addressed by the speakers were seen from the economic, legal, ethical and artistic-creative points of view.
The edition just ended had the honor of hosting exhibitors and artists from all over the world, offering visitors a unique and exciting experience. The quality expressed by independent artists and galleries, the elegance of Villa Ciani and its exhibition path and the atmosphere defined by all as “welcoming”, have confirmed the “Boutique Fair of Arts” of Lugano as a new point of reference for art lovers and an event not to be missed.
YouNique 2025, despite being the first edition without the presence of high artistic craftsmanship, managed to confirm the numbers of the last edition, even with a slight growth, an excellent result for this new course that will see contemporary art as the absolute protagonist of the Lugano event for years to come.
Its strategic position, between northern Italy, Switzerland and Central Europe, makes YouNique a fair with significant potential, to the point that, as revealed by its director Andrea Peri, for 2026 they are already thinking about a “Lugano Art Week”, an event that brings contemporary art, not only to Villa Ciani, but also to the most representative places in the city of Lugano, giving life to an “off-salon” that, in other cities, attracts a significant number of “art tourists” from all over Europe.
