The sea breeze in your hair, an enveloping warmth, and a longing for lightness, for impalpable, clear fabrics. While nights are all about shiny short dresses and floral maxi dresses, summer daywear calls for practical, yet elegant outfits, whether you are in a city of art, at the seaside or in a mountain village.
A philosophy shared by Lucie and Luke Meier, creative directors of Jil Sander, who have created a capsule collection drawing inspiration from their own experience of summer.
Summer Project celebrates the spirit of the hottest season of the year, when we feel more connected to nature and its rhythms, with a series of items in natural materials offering comfort and functionality.
The collection features oversize dresses and soft cotton shirts, a parachute silk and nylon canvas jumpsuit, a shirt dress and an organic cotton poplin caftan. Accessories include sculptural hats, unisex leather sandals, spacious Sombrero bags and natural canvas shoppers, and a branded jacquard beach towel.
The color palette is an ode to neuter hues: from chalk white to parchment, through silver and sand grey.
The capsule collection is already available for purchase in Jil Sander’s boutiques and selected stores.
Easy chic in pills.
