SeaKeepers Fundraises to support 2020 research

SeaKeepers looks back on a banner year for programming with 15 scientist-led expeditions; 20 citizen science trips; 16 educational outreach events; and 27 community engagement events organized with school groups and youth organizations in the United States and Singapore

Founded in 1998 by a small group of yacht owners, The International SeaKeepers Society is a non-profit organization focused on protecting the health of our oceans for over twenty years. SeaKeepers is dedicating its efforts to raising awareness about global ocean issues by raising funds for the new year, in an effort to expanding annual programs in 2020.

SeaKeepers looks back on a banner year for programming with 15 scientist-led expeditions; 20 citizen science trips; 16 educational outreach events; and 27 community engagement events organized with school groups and youth organizations in the United States and Singapore. With the support of the cause, SeaKeepers impacts over 100,000 students through research and educational outreach efforts, it helps collect over 1,000 pounds of trash annually, it brings 467 volunteers together for a local cause and it allows scientists the opportunity to advance marine sciences and raise awareness about global ocean issues.

SeaKeepers relies on the generosity of people just like you to help ensure the health of our oceans. With contributions from the supporters, SeaKeepers may continue to drive programming that educates and empowers the local and yachting community to become aware of the issues our oceans face while taking an active role in helping to develop solutions through exploration, scientific research, education, and outreach.
