An oversize, buttonless cardigan in colorful jacquard as a tribute to American images, recognizable and yet not associable with any particular style: this was the start of Alanui’s great story, and the whole meaning of this brand founded by Nicolò and Carlotta Oddi.
All was born of the idea of creating unisex knitwear that could be the perfect travel companion to anywhere, just like that jumper that Nicolò had given his sister as a gift. High-end pieces all strictly manufactured in Italy from materials sourced in the country, then turned into fashion cults.
From a cardigan-only range, the label is now opening to new stylistic perspectives with its Resort 2020 collection, offering total look styles that include dresses, shorts, trousers and denims.
The leitmotif of the line is California with all its natural sceneries, recognizable in embroidered palms or poppies that come in warm shades such as pink, orange and yellow, as well as in tye-dye effects.
A love declaration to the United States, fringes and other graphics like the Joshua tree embellish cashmere it-cardigans, refined by sequins on the shoulders.
Gipsy-folk elegance with slight preppy intrusions, like stripes and collars.
