Light Stick between art and gourmet culture

The design wall lamp by Catellani & Smith illuminates the MUDEC Restaurant in Milan with style.

Opened in the former Ansaldo industrial plant in via Tortona, the Museum of Cultures MUDEC hosts the restaurant overseen by the multi-Michelin-starred chef Enrico Bartolini, who has selected the lamps by Catellani & Smith for the lighting project of the restaurant.
Chef Bartolini’s gastronomic culture combines tradition and innovation in his ‘Contemporary Classic’ cuisine, a trend that is also reflected in the furniture and lighting choice. The project has been developed on the predominance of white colour in its different hues, intercut by the simplicity and linear design of Light Stick lamps, which are able to create a harmonious balance between lights and shades, highlighting the pure and essential design of the boiserie and of the walls. The final result is an intimate and cozy atmosphere, in an exclusive place where guests share the pleasure of being together and experience a cuisine that opens to new frontiers in taste, but keeps an eye on the culinary tradition of the Bel Paese.
