Sicis aims for Manhattan

Sicis The Art Factory will soon open a new 5-storey showroom on Fifth Avenue in New York. The Ravenna company which leads the way in mosaic art, bought a 5 floor building located at 240 Fifth Avenue, in the heart of Nomad, the Manhattan neighbourhood famous for its artistic vibes and cultural events.

The showroom, which will be ready by the end of 2015 will house jewellery, mosaics and collections of furnishings, lighting and accessories. The space will be constantly evolving and will host unique and experimental limited edition pieces of art.

Following on from the first flagship store in Soho which opened in 2006, with the acquisition of the Manhattan building Sicis confirms its project of real estate expansion in New York, thus further strengthening its presence in the American market.

Sicis’s evolution has veered towards a precise objective: the design and creation of unique mosaic collections complemented by unique pieces of furnishings and accessories. “Our DNA is history, our mission is the future. We are continuously developing new products and techniques, inventing ways of working with mosaics whilst respecting art and the details of history”, says Maurizio Placuzzi, founder and CEO of SICIS.
