Dylan invited the photographer to the studio where he was recording an album that would become Highway 61 Revisited, which included Like a Rolling Stone, a song that would have won the top spot in the “Rolling Stone” ranking of the five hundred greatest hits of all time.

Schatzberg’s photographs capture Dylan during one of the most crucial moments in the history of music and include footage of what would probably become his biggest album, Blonde on Blonde.
