It is a true icon of the Made in Italy high fashion world: it is Marinella’s Neapolitan ties.
The prestigious brand, which has always been a symbol of timeless elegance, won the first Maratea Green Award, a forum on good practices aimed at protecting the environment and recovering agricultural resources and more.
Marinella’s sustainable ties
The brand specializing in men’s accessories that speaks of elegance and refinement par excellence, Marinella’s ties, have been dressing world leaders for over 100 years.
Marinella’s propensity to respect the environment has always been one of its characteristics: the materials used for making ties are cotton, linen and silk.
The occasion to launch the new particular material for the production of ties, orange fiber, was the G20 on the Environment.
All the representatives of the institutions present at the G20 wore these particular accessories to convey and communicate the Italian style and commitment to sustainability to the world.
Ties and orange fiber: a green collaboration
The project of the fine ties was born from a collaboration between Marinella and the Sicilian company, all female, Orange Fiber, which has patented and produces sustainable fabrics starting from citrus by-products.
Not just orange fibers for ties: the entire accessory production chain has been revised, eliminating the use of heavy metals and creating a completely degradable package.
The prestigious Marinella ties in orange fiber, as well as the scarves, were offered to the brand’s historic clientele and were completely sold out.
The success is undoubtedly due to the renewed attention to the environment but also to the extreme quality of these products: they have no hint of orange and the colors of each accessory do not degrade over time. Each creation is unique, made by true artists who have always valued Made in Italy.
