London/Rome, 8 November 2017. The Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa in Rome has won another accolade at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2018. The annual event, recently held in London, rewards the best in luxury hospitality around the world, selected from the publisher’s “UK, Europe & The Mediterranean”, “Luxury Spas” and “The Americas, Caribbean & Pacific” guides. The Rome hotel, part of the Roberto Naldi Collection was named “Best Hotel with Spa – Europe and the Mediterranean” for the second time since 2016, beating out 59 other nominees, 21 of which were Italian properties. Adele Naldi accepted the award personally at the ceremony. In the previous four Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence, the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa has consistently been in the top three in the same category.
“I am very happy and rather proud that we have received such an important commendation from Condé Nast Johansens,” said Roberto Naldi, president of the Collection. “For the past four years, we have consistently been one of the top three European hotels. This is the second time that Parco dei Principi has taken home the award, two years after we first won it. This proves that our quest for excellence is ongoing, so that we can offer our guests luxuries that go far beyond furnishings and panoramic vistas and which combine minute attention to service and state-of-the-art facilities. I would like to thank everyone who works at the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa: every member of the team works together and awards like this reflect the enormous amount of work done on a daily basis. I would also like to note that the other hotels in the Roberto Naldi Collection take the same approach and have also received many international awards.
Offering 2,000 square metres of pure relaxation in the heart of Rome, a stone’s throw Villa Borghese and the historic centre, Prince Spa, set within Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & SPA, is a genuine oasis of well-being, where everything from the colours to the sensory experiences encourages guests to leave behind the chaos of the city outside.
Prince Spa is open to both hotel guests and day guests alike, and its indoor pool immediately catches the eye. Lying on your back in the 25 m x 7 m pool, you can gaze up at the celestial ceiling painted in soft, soothing colours and studded with Swarovski crystals. If you can resist the temptation to while away the day in the pool, the Sensory Showers and Kneipp Circuit will stimulate your circulation and maximise your wellness.
Adjacent to the indoor pool, the Wet Area features a Steam Room decorated with colourful mosaics and Bio and Finnish Saunas constructed in natural wood. The temperature and humidity vary to create experiences of varying intensity, particularly when combined with Sensory Showers, Ice Fountains and Swedish Showers. The luxurious Beauty Area has 12 multi-sensory rooms with adaptable colour therapy systems that are perfect for face and body treatments with exclusive products by Maria Galland. Prince Spa’s expert therapists can provide a range of soothing professional treatments, including a luxurious Caviar Facial (toning and moisturizing), Ayurvedic Massage, Epsom Salt Packs and even the Shirodhara Treatment, in which hot oil is poured onto the forehead in a constant stream, which has a profoundly calming effect.
Fitness buffs will love the 500 square metre Fitness Area, which helps keep you in shape with a wide variety of cutting-edge equipment and personal training options, including step, GAG, power yoga, Pilates, Aerobox and total body workouts. If that all sounds too active for you, head straight to the Relaxation Area, where you can recline on leather loungers and sip herbal tea as you gaze through floor-to-ceiling windows and up to the star-studded pool ceiling.
