Stella McCartney launches her mycelium bag

The Frayme mylo, exclusive and sustainable, given the exclusivity of the material and the absolute craftsmanship of the workmanship, was naturally produced in a limited edition

Always a pioneer of sustainable luxury fashion, Stella McCartney recently announced the official debut of her Frayme mylo.

The most prestigious boutiques in the world, starting from next July 1st, will have the iconic and already highly sought after bag in mycelium fiber available.

The new object of desire of global fashion victims, produced by the British brand is already a record: it is in fact the first bag put on the market made with a vegan leather, derived from the processing of the mushroom.

Collaboration with the vegan leather company

Stella McCartney has created this bag as the result of a collaboration, which started last autumn, with Bolt threads, a pioneer company in the production of Mylo vegan fabric.

The company patented the bio material in 2017 and saw very important investors right away to support its developments: in fact, in addition to the British designer, other brands that believed in the project were Lululemon, Kering and Adidas.

Frayme mylo is a bag with a unique style, made entirely by Italian artisans and is already becoming the new symbol of the maison in its sustainable mission.

The bag is a luxury object not only for the particular fabric with which it is made: the design is inspired by Falabella, one of Stella McCartney’s most iconic bags, this time embellished with an aluminum chain, naturally completely recycled.

The Frayme mylo, exclusive and sustainable, given the exclusivity of the material and the absolute craftsmanship of the workmanship, was naturally produced in a limited edition.

The mycelium bags are strictly numbered with “branded” specimens from 1 to 100.

The price? Exclusive and not exactly sustainable: the lucky owners of this new object of desire will detach a tag with a selling price of 1,995 pounds.
