A new catering venue for Rome. The new panoramic restaurant Terrazza Trinità dei Monti is now open on the sixth floor of Grand Hotel Plaza, on Via del Corso, and welcomes the public too.
Backed by his long-time experience at St. Regis and Intercontinental De La Ville restaurants and all around the world, chef Umberto Vezzoli offers a varied refreshof Rome’s traditional cuisineby specifically creating unique combinations of dishes for every day of week.
What makes the menu of Terrazza Trinità dei Monti so peculiar are in fact the chef’s recommendations on these original creations: from mezze penne pasta with goat cheese and pepper plus saltimbocca meat and braised lettuce on Monday, to spaghetti with clams and swordfish fillet with salmorigli sauce on Friday.
One of the capital’s historic hotels, the Grand Hotel Plaza has been located in ancient Palazzo Lozzano on Via del Corso, in Rome, for about half a century. Designed by architect Antonio Sarti, over the years it has grown to be a meeting place promoting cultural events, as well as the set of important Italian and international movies.
In the past 15 years, Grand Hotel Plaza has launched a significant conservative renovation project involving the whole palace: the luxurious main hall with Art Nouveaustuccoes, stained-glass windows, golden cornices and majestic crystal chandeliers, the bedrooms and suites and the panoramic terraces of Salone Mascagni, where breakfast turns into a chic, charming ritual to start the day.
