On Friday 7 July took place a genuine celebration of colour, fashion and food in Venice. The Metropole opened its eagerly anticipated New Met Restaurant and Rose Room by Raptus & Rose.

They were designed by Silvia Bisconti, the creative mind behind Raptus & Rose, a unique fashion atelier which is obsessive in their attention to detail and celebration of diversity, and Gloria Beggiato, who, with the Metropole in Venice, has taken the concept of hospitality to a new level and made her hotel a place for experiences and a location for prestigious art and fashion events. The meeting of these two minds has created an explosion of emotions.

The project, which opened on Friday 7 July, sees the interweaving of cuisine and décor, with the Met Restaurant styled in the Raptus & Rose philosophy and the menu reflecting the combinations, colours and love of nature of Raptus & Rose fashion. Therefore, the new cuisine at the Met Restaurant has changed course, becoming light, natural and feminine with delicate flavours in tune with the changing seasons. Meanwhile, Silvia Bisconti has styled the Met Restaurant with a new look: strongly masculine on the one hand, yet on the other, just the opposite with shades that softly and gradually blend together with various nuances in colour.

The highlight and cornerstone of the project is the new Rose Room by Raptus & Rose: a dive into colour, an enchanting, secluded lounge with two divine creations by Silvia Bisconti on display.
Only here can you enjoy floral decorated dishes inspired by #pastoestetico, Silvia Bisconti’s food aesthetics; a light cuisine originating in nature with exquisite decorations also collected from nature. Fresh, refined dishes, perfect for an aperitif or a small exclusive party.

Friday evening’s event stirred the soul, arousing emotions that not even the most perfect, cinematographic evenings can create. Because every little detail is the result of passion, research, style and taste.

From the sound of the cicadas accompanying the first course and easing the guests into a place of pure, unblemished nature, to the creations on show by Silvia Bisconti, providing touches of colour and art representing the philosophy of lightness and captivation that makes this style unmistakeable.

On arrival in the garden, guests were treated to complimentary Dr. Hauschka beauty products, which are natural, organic and made from cultivated medicinal herbs, which they were able to sample with a rejuvenating hand massage.  And so to the menu for the evening, light, colourful summer dishes decorated with petals from the most beautiful flowers with new flavours and harmonious combinations. And the look as well, particularly Gloria Beggiato’s dress, specially designed by Raptus & Rose to represent the mood of the evening with its flowers and bright shades of pink, which set the scene for the highlight of the evening, the runway show: a foray into fashion which lasted the whole evening, set to music specially chosen to stir the emotions and set the rhythm for the models who wore spectacular turbans made from flowers and nature and created shades of colour and sinuous movements with their light, flowing dresses.

And finally the Raptus & Rose Pop Up Store, set up in the Suite degli Angeli, Marta Marzotto’s historic suite, where guests and fashion lovers in general were able to admire, feel and purchase La Moda Liberata  creations.

Now the doors are open to the city and to all those wanting to experience something special.

The new place to go in Venice, a marvel to behold with exquisite delicacies to sample. At the Met Restaurant and in the Rose Room, the chef’s passion will stir the guests’ emotions; a spectacular experience which will assure you that you are finally in the right place.
